Hello! I'm Ajay


I’m an Engineer and a Chemist based in the immemorial city of Jodhpur. I guess for us to really connect, I’ve got to tell you a little bit about myself.

I’ve always been a calm-quiet and innovative personality, long before I stumbled upon engineering. It all started with dreams of creating a strong inner alchemist when I was younger, until the day my father helped me in my science exhibition when I was in my fourth standard which motivated me to discover another medium to express myself.


Innovation to affordable technology is one of the most important part of my work. I feel strongly about designing things that catches the eye of the passing viewers, making them linger for a little while.

There’s no surprise that science and technology is the love of my life, but traveling is also the blood in my veins. I’m endlessly inspired by nature and adventures. I love waking up to new horizons, making friends with people, and exploring the world.

My research work is focused on the transition metal-complex inks which can be used in biosensors and energy storage devices. scalability is the most ignored factor in research and my research majorly focus on industrial-scale fabrication of highly efficient electrocatalysts (Ni, Co, C, and ternary metal systems) by exploring suitable materials for application in energy (batteries, supercapacitors, and water splitting ), healthcare (biosensors, point of care devices) and environment (water purification by capacitive deionization, heavy metal ion, and pesticide sensing ). I have also been working on lithography and can fabricate screen-printed electrodes for various applications.

As a TA I have worked for the following:

Demonstrated to undergraduates and postgraduate students for 2 years around electroanalytical analytical techniques including Linear sweep voltammetry (LSV), Cyclic voltammetry (CV), Step voltammetry (SV), Normal pulse voltammetry, Differential pulse voltammetry (DPV), Square Wave voltammetry (SWV), Stripping voltammetry, EIS measurements, etc.
Basics of corrosion and Tafel plot, Galvanostatic Charge Discharge, Chronoamperometry, and Chronopotentiometry for energy devices.

Supervised three undergraduate research projects around catalysis.

Factor 4 (Biodiversity Conservation India ltd., Bengaluru)

I'm a passionate lover of energy and environment. As a research associate at factor 4, I have had worked on aspects related to organic farming, production of bio-fertilizers/pesticides, water desalination, and solar dryers. With an aim of creating social awareness, I was a part of outreach programmes held in various schools for encouraging organic farming and talk programmes for use of effective pesticides and fertilizers for farmers.
